~The MPHS Script
Hello. I am Jeffrey Gammill and I teach Sports, Entertainment, and Recreation Marketing and Advanced Sports, Entertainment, and Recreation Marketing as well as serving as the DECA club advisor. I have taught at Manassas Park High School for eight years after moving to Virginia with my wife and four children from the Rochester, NY area. Prior to teaching, I was an advertising account executive for five years at the CBS, FOX, and WB television network affiliates in Rochester. My education and training consists of attending SUNY Brockport College where I earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and a minor in Economics. I also attended Nazareth College for Graduate School where I earned my Master’s degree in Business and Marketing Education. My personal interests include watching sports (especially the Buffalo Bills), reading Stephen King novels, and playing outside with my children.
My name is Darcie Priester and I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher at both MPHS and MPMS. This is my first year with Manassas Park City Schools and I am very excited to here! I previously taught in Stafford and Prince Williams counties and I have been teaching for 10 years. Prior to teaching, I was a writer/editor for the US Department of Agriculture and I majored in journalism at Radford University. I am looking forward to a great year and learning about the Manassas Park Community!
Hello, my name is Nafeesa Lodi. Pleased to meet you! I am the Editor-in-Chief and founder of The MPHS Script. My dream is to make this club well known throughout our school. I want this club and this online newspaper to be popular and enjoyable! If you have any pressing questions, contact me or any of the Editors at The MPHS Script. My job is to keep everyone in line and on task- while writing my own articles, of course.
Hey! My name is Caitlin Lawrence, I am in the 10th grade, and I am the Managing editor. I love to play the piano, go online, watch anime, cook, and draw. In the future, my dream is to be a professional cook. I joined the Script because I enjoy writing and I thought it would be a fun thing to do in my free time. Cya!
Hi! I’m Amy and I’m one of the video editors for the script. I’m a freshman here at MPHS and a member of the Marching Cougars. I play both the piccolo and the flute in band, but I would love to learn how to play other instruments. During my free time, I play videogames quite often... maybe a little too much. If you guys see me around, be sure to say hi! c:
Hi I'm Leah Rogers. I’m pretty normal. I like (no love!) pizza, I love Michael Jackson, and I can fall in love with an awesome beat anytime. I love movies, and I can’t stand a whole week without reading or writing. I write/read when I want to, and school, this club, music, family and church are the only life I have. Food is life. Deuces! P.S. I’m an artist ;) ✌
Hi everybody! My name is Morgan Foster and I'm in the 9th grade! I enjoy dancing, playing the piano and I love to write. When I heard about MPHS Script, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I would like to be a journalist some day. I also enjoy sharing information to my fellow students. If you have an idea for a Lifestyle report, pass it along to me, as I am the Editor! I appreciate new ideas! See you in the halls! -Morgan :)
Hello! I’m Ilyas, the Club News editor for the MPHS Script. I’m in the ninth grade, and I love to read, draw, and even play Alto Saxophone in Marching Band. I’m involved in many clubs with the school and I’m even the freshman class president. I plan to do as much as possible to help this club thrive! See you around!
