"Being in SeaPerch gives me a place to be after school," says Sophomore Londyn Solomon.
It builds teamwork, challenges students, and gives them a good learning experience. They get to learn about the many concepts of engineering such as ship and submarine design, waterproofing, basic physics of motion, ergonomics, depth measurement, and buoyancy.
The students in SeaPerch joined the club to hang out with friends and build robots.
Junior Cariza Zulueta said, "I'm interested in being able to create something that could move."
Students who are interested in having a career in STEM also joined the club, such as sophomores Izabel Sprague and Mudassir Lodi. Others joined SeaPerch to have a place to be after school, socialize, and just have fun.
SeaPerch meets every Wednesday in room 317. Stop by and see what they are doing!
