Both Deb and Wet Seal have filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Wet Seal will be closing 338 of their stores and plan to close more stores in the future, while Deb, which has been open since 1932, will be closing all locations. According to The Gordon Brothers Group, who own the Deb company, all store locations will remain open until all merchandise has been sold. The money from their sales will go to paying off their debts. JCPenney is closing 39 of their stores and will be closing the Manassas Mall location in April.
When these stores are gone, the question is will there be any stores replacing them, or will those locations remain empty?
